TCMB Design is owned by the husband and wife team Daniel & Theresa Basaldua of Las Cruces, New Mexico.

The creative couple met in high school art class – Daniel was a surreal expressionist and Theresa was a figurative realist. Despite their varied interests, the two clicked immediately and began their lifelong bond. Theresa honed her art skills at New Mexico State University. Though she naturally excelled at most art forms, Theresa earned her bachelor’s degree in photography, graphic design, metalsmithing, and jewelry. Now newlyweds, the inseparable pair entered into the professional world – Theresa as a graphic designer and art director, and Daniel a manager for a billiards company.

As a full-time graphic designer, Theresa continued to dabble with her first loves that had now become hobbies – drawing, painting and jewelry. Sharing her creations on social media, Theresa was met with overwhelming interest and launched TCMB Design 2013. The “side business” continued to flourish enough for Daniel to be a part of TCMB Design full time in 2019. Theresa was able to retire from office life in 2022 so that the couple could focus on their business and enjoy more time with their two kids, Daniel and Ava.

Together, Daniel and Theresa create jewelry, signs, sun catchers, ornaments, nativity sets, and – every so often – a few (soft-edged) ninja stars and bat-a-rangs for the kids. Daniel and Theresa have now been married for 17 years and are passing down their love for art and creating to their children, along with their shared passion for comic books, toy collecting, shooting pool, cooking, and a whole lot of Jesus.

Thanks to the good Lord, the Basaldua family is blessed to be celebrating 10 years of bringing hope to others with their art.
